- 1. John 10:14-15 says, “I am the good shepherd. I know my own and my own know me, just as the Father knows me and I know the Father; and I lay down my life for the sheep.” Does the Bible teach that Jesus laid down His life for unbelievers as well as believers? Why do you think Jesus was specific in this statement?
- Ephesians 1:4 states that, “He chose us in Him before the foundation of the world, that we would be holy and blameless before Him.” This means that in eternity past, believers were already chose and God already knew who Christ would die for. This is humbling for any believer to ponder. How does this make you feel?
- (For older children) Read Matthew 7:13-23. If someone were to tell you that everyone will go to heaven one day no matter what they believed or what they had faith in, what would your response be? How does it line up with what Jesus says in Matthew 7:13-23?
